About 1,250 new jobs will be created thanks to the operation of two new industrial parks in Zhytomyr and Lviv regions. The decision to include the parks «MA’RYZHANY» and «Dobrosyn Invest Park» in the Register of Industrial Parks was adopted by the Government at a meeting on August 9, 2024.
The «MA’RYZHANY» Industrial Park will operate on the territory of the Khoroshiv territorial community of the Zhytomyr district of the Zhytomyr region. The area of 30.2 hectares will house processing industry enterprises – the production of textiles, non-woven and building materials, as well as scientific and technical activities. The concept of the park provides for the creation of 750 jobs and investments, totaling almost 2 billion UAH.
The purpose of the industrial park is to:
- revival and further development of the primary and advanced processing of bast crops;
- introduction of innovations and improvement of production capacities and technologies for processing raw materials in the production process;
- laying the foundations for the formation of a cluster of primary and advanced processing of bast crops with high production and export potential;
- stimulating the development of the processing industry in Zhytomyr region by attracting participants that will produce high value-added products based on high-quality natural raw materials;
- increase labour productivity and create new jobs, which will contribute to the investment attractiveness of the Zhytomyr region, strengthen the competitive economic advantages of the region and social development.
The «MA’RYZHANY» Industrial Park will be located on part of the territory of the former village of Ryzhany, Zhytomyr district (formerly Khoroshiv district), Zhytomyr region. This location is strategically important, as it is in close proximity to both land areas where bast crops can be grown, and to the transport infrastructure capable of delivering products to buyers. Zhytomyr region is also a significant administrative, economic and cultural center of northwestern Ukraine.
It became the 87th industrial park registered in the register of industrial parks of Ukraine.
A team of specialists from the «Industrial Parks of Ukraine» group of companies moderated the creation of the concept and accompanied the registration process of this industrial park.
