In the Odessa region, near the village of Tabaky, Bolgrad district, an industrial park called «Bolgrad Industry» will be created. It is expected to specialize in the food industry and alternative energy.
The concept of creating such a park was approved by the deputies of the Bolgrad City Council on the eve of the last 2024 session after its presentation by the developer online, the press service of the Bolgrad City Hall reports.
Earlier, the Bolgrad City Council initiated the creation of an industrial park on the territory of the Bolgrad community “in order to increase the competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the community, attract investments for sustainable economic development, create jobs, new areas for economic development, increase local budget revenues and stimulate entrepreneurship”.
“The first step in this direction has been taken, the next step will be the registration of Bolgrad Industry in the state register of industrial parks of Ukraine,” the Bolgrad City Hall added.
According to Mayor Serhiy Dmytriev, this industrial park will become a platform for business development, which will not only strengthen the economy of the Bolgrad community, but also provide residents with new employment opportunities.
“We are moving towards Bolgrad becoming a center of economic activity in the region,” emphasized the mayor of Bolgrad.
It is assumed that “Bolgrad Industry” will be a universal industrial formation, where on an area of 46.5 hectares there will be enterprises of food and light industry, processing of agricultural products, vegetables and fruits, production of beverages and oil, hydrogen, as well as alternative energy.
The project is scheduled to begin implementation in 2026. The initiators are currently looking for investors. And since the territory of the future industrial park is located on the border of Moldova and Romania and, moreover, through the floodplains of the Ukrainian Danube, the area has access to the sea, the authors of the project have no doubt that investors will be found.
The Industrial Parks of Ukraine group of companies is responsible for developing the concept and supporting registration.
