On February 12, a working meeting was held at the Kyiv Regional State Administration dedicated to the development of industrial parks in the region.
As of today, 15 industrial parks have been registered in the Kyiv region — and each of them is at a different stage of development: from infrastructure design to active involvement of residents. 
Who was present
The meeting was attended by:
- People’s Deputies of Ukraine, responsible for the direction of development of industrial parks;
- Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;
- Management and Department of Economics of the Regional State Administration of Economy;
- Management companies;
- initiators of the creation of parks;
- business representatives.
What was discussed
The format was as practical as possible. Each industrial park:
- reported on the current status of implementation;
- outlined key problems and “bottlenecks”;
- formulated priority needs for further development;
- identified next steps.
The Ministry of Economy paid special attention to the issue of attracting state funding for infrastructure development – in particular, the parks’ intentions to apply for relevant support programs.
Main conclusions
- Interest in industrial parks in the region is growing.
- The key request is engineering infrastructure and speed of procedures.
- Parks are increasingly moving from a formal status to real operational activity.
Personally, the meeting was extremely useful for me: it was interesting to observe the dynamics of the development of various projects, see their models, priorities and challenges..
For my part, I represented several industrial parks:
- in two of them our company acts as a management company;
- we support three or four more parks as agents – in terms of filling them with residents and comprehensive development.
The industrial park market in the Kyiv region is gradually being structured. And now it is critically important that the interaction between the state, the region and business remains systematic and effective.
