Impressions from this event are mixed.
On the one hand, everything was very active, the constant flow of visitors created a driving atmosphere that was energizing and motivating. Half of the visitors were English-speaking, the other half Ukrainian-speaking. Almost all the materials were distributed, sometimes it was impossible to turn around at the stand.
In terms of the composition of visitors, I estimate something like this:
- Those who wanted to sell us something (construction services, architects-engineers, equipment and building materials, etc.) – 70%;
- Possible participants in industrial parks – 10%;
- Companies or communities that want to create an industrial park – 10%;
- Grantors and small investors – 5%;
- Others – 5%.

One of the main goals of our participation was to attract potential participants to Ukrainian industrial parks. First of all, we wanted to test the reality of foreign companies entering Ukraine at this time. Unfortunately, the general answer is “No, they are not ready.” They are interested, ask questions, clarify, but no more, they are not ready to take any real steps. I kind of expected that. Most of those interested in participating are either Ukrainian companies or those that have been operating in Ukraine for a long time, selling so much of their products that opening their own factory justifies this demand.
From the point of view of investors, we held negotiations with different types and origins of investors. Unfortunately, for the most necessary type of investment, namely the construction of industrial facilities and infrastructure, no investor or bank is ready to provide investments. Most “live” investors or grantors are willing to provide investments either in the field of consulting, small technical assistance, or financing small purchases of equipment for small and medium-sized businesses.
I don’t want to speak for the entire exhibition, just about our sector. Yes, there were many agreements, investment agreements, and other real and large-scale agreements on Defense, Energy, Infrastructure Facilities of State Importance, and other critical things. But the presentation of the same dozens of projects from communities had a rather sluggish reaction, in my opinion.
But, nevertheless, I believe that this event and our participation were not in vain. Firstly, the result is still there, and it fully justified participation in the exhibition. Secondly, if you don’t try, you won’t understand the result. And thirdly, I am for any opportunity to promote Ukraine’s industrial parks abroad, who knows what contacts will be made as a result.
Therefore, thank you to the organizers, thank you to my support team and partners who helped work at the stand. Special thanks to Olena Podolska for organizing high-quality communication with foreign partners and visitors to the stand. I was glad to meet old acquaintances and partners. It was interesting, exciting and productive.
Let’s restore Ukraine’s economy together!
